Fairfax Staff and Students Community Tree Planting

Celebrating National Tree Week with Community Action!

This week, our staff and students from Fairfax Academy joined local Councillor Richard Parkin, three other local schools, and members of the community for a fantastic tree-planting event in Newdigate Fields.

Together, we planted over 200 trees, contributing to a wider community effort that saw more than 400 hazel, hawthorn, crab apple, rowan, blackthorn, dog rose, and goat willow trees added to this much-loved green space.

It was inspiring to see students, staff and community partners working side by side to help improve local biodiversity, support wildlife habitats, and contribute to a greener future for our community.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making a real difference.
