Bournville business students learn by doing

Enterprising students at Bournville All-Through School have spent the past six weeks discovering how to ‘dream beyond their limits’ during an inspiring fashion‑focused entrepreneurship programme.

Taking part in the Young Entrepreneur Project run by Freedom 2 Dream Clothing (F2D), business students had the chance to move from concept to creation by designing their own item of clothing. Each design was professionally manufactured, giving students a tangible product to take home and a real sense of achievement.

At a celebration event marking the end of the programme, students were presented with certificates recognising not only their hard work, but the confidence, creativity and practical skills they developed along the way.

The workshops are designed to empower young people to think like entrepreneurs; learning how ideas become products while exploring key business skills such as marketing, product development and financial management.

The project also supports a wide range of curriculum areas, including English, Art, Design Technology, Business, Reading, Maths and PSHE, making it a rich and rewarding learning experience for all involved.
