There was a welcome surprise waiting for students after half term as new minibuses arrived across the Trust, creating even more opportunities for learning and enrichment beyond the classroom.
The smart new vehicles arrived on the final day before the break and are set to play a key role in supporting the wide range of opportunities available to students across all four academies.
The investment has improved the fleet and added an additional minibus at Fairfax Academy, providing staff with greater capacity and flexibility to support students both in and out of the classroom.
Welcoming the new vehicles, Principal Sean Castle said: “This is doubling our capacity and it’s particularly exciting given our continued success in sport, as well as the many educational visits and trips that enrich learning beyond the classroom.
“Whether students are travelling to sporting fixtures, representing the school in competitions, taking part in enrichment activities or exploring new places as part of their learning, the additional minibuses will help us make more of these opportunities possible.”
Extracurricular programmes across the Trust play a vital role in developing students’ confidence, teamwork, resilience and independence. This investment reflects our commitment to providing a broad, ambitious and enriching education for every student.
We’re looking forward to more opportunities, more adventures and even greater success, inside and outside the classroom.
