We are proud to announce that recently released DfE national attendance data for 2023-2024, highlighted that attendance in our secondary schools was fourth most improved of all Trusts in the country last year.
Martyn Jobling, Director of Education said ‘The Department for Education’s data for 2023/24, released earlier this week, showed an improvement of 1.2% against a national picture of 0.2%.
‘Smith’s Wood Academy was particularly successful, improving by 4.6% which made it the sixth most improved secondary school in England.’
This data shows that there is a direct correlation between high attendance and high levels of academic outcomes in all of our settings and the #ambition of all of our academies is to continue to push for even higher attendance levels this year.
The rise seen in 2023/24 and the continued extremely positive trajectory seen in this current year is down to the strong policies and practice that are in place across the Trust and is reflective of the hard work, commitment and #dedication of all our staff to enriching the lives and transforming the futures of the children we serve.
